So life has finally caught up to me. This took months to do, since I was only able to work on it so sporadically. But I hope you enjoy the finished result. It is, without a doubt, the best work I've done so far. Over 50 separate layers in Photoshop. Ughhhhh.
Adaliah and I have been toying around with a College AU type situation with our characters, and I got inspired.
fifty layers? Yer patience far far far exceeds mine. The effort really goes through, and I like Osirus's outfit. ^///^ You even put in enought detail so you have plants growing in the cracks of the sidewalk. Bravo.

It took a long time, but it shows; it's very good, I agree on it being your best. The colors and linework are all very smooth and detailed, and there's nothing that draws my attention away from where it should be. The picture as a whole is simply pleasant to look at. When I'm done looking for the sake of looking I look again to to imagine scenarios and dialogue and find little details not noticed the first time.
It's odd seeing Osiris looking so...not Egyptian royalty, I guess would be the only way to put it. Backgrounds are also uncommon, but you've done it quite well. You can almost expect some random person to talk into the shot as they travel the sidewalk. Also fairly new is the outfits. Most characters in WG art tend to be either shirtless or wearing something that doesn't fit at all, and naturally the folds of the fabric are different from the folds of fat. Despite it seldom being drawn that was also done well, looking like a shirt that's being worn instead of painted on, such as the spot on Osiris' left (our right) where the shirt kind of tucks underneath.
If I had to critique something it would be the unclear lighting; it seems late in the day and the shadows indicate the light coming from behind, but they seem well lit by a general glow from in front. That's not something that bothers me, but seemed like the kind of thing that qualifies as commentary. I had to dig for that at all, since it didn't seem like a proper comment without something from both sides of the spectrum.
Wow this comment ran long, I'm sorry. I guess I got backed up after the long absence.
I can't stop looking at it. Every minute watching it is a minute well spent in finding every detail in it. Even the clothing makes me happy, being so simple yet colourful compared to your previous attires.
Plus, it's all so calm and sweet. It's just the kind of situation I'd like to be in.
All the months waiting for a work from you expecting to be a WG extravaganza, but this is so much better. It actually makes me sad in realizing that I have nothing else other than words to reward you for your effort.
Great to see you back.
PS: If I can nitpick, I don't know the name of the blonde one (Don't recall ever seeing him), but his right hand looks terribly awkward. The amount of flesh between his thumb and index finger seems to much. That little U loop should actually be longer in my opinion.
ooo i think this is your best anatomy so far : D love how the clothing fits on osiris it's really realistic, and i love the other outfit pretty hard and i feel bad i don't know his name DX
